Janelle de la Rosa Debuts Her Spicy Single and Music Video for “Thinkin’ Bout You”

On June 28th, 2019, rising Baltimore-based R&B/Pop artist Janelle de la Rosa boldly released her debut single, “Thinkin’ Bout You” on all digital platforms. It’s a short, sultry number built on old school R&B vibes and equal parts sensuality and delicate femininity. The official music video for the song, which she co-directed, was released July 12, 2019 on Youtube.

After establishing her roots in local acoustic cover performances, Janelle de la Rosa found her “lane” in the space between R&B and modern pop, and she offers a unique blend of the two genres. Through the course of her eight year career in Baltimore, she has appeared on WMAR’s Midday Maryland local lifestyle show, written and performed the anthem “Share the Love" for Visit Baltimore’s #MyBmore social media campaign, opened for The Voice Season 15 finalist Funsho, and worked with acclaimed producer Terrence “T-Low" Brown from the multi-platinum R&B group N.E.X.T.

Not only did Janelle de la Rosa write and perform this fun, flirty, come-and-get me song, but she also produced and mixed “Thinkin’ Bout You” in its entirety. As an unsigned, independent, self-managed artist, she makes all her own rules and music straight from her home studio in Baltimore, MD.  With a combined social media following of over 100,000, this release marks a new chapter in her already well-established career as an artist, and is the first of many monthly music and video releases this year.

Listening to “Thinkin’ Bout You” while watching the steamy music video provides audiences an intimate, dazzling glimpse into exactly who Janelle de la Rosa is. But more importantly, it leaves the door open for who she’ll be. With every upcoming monthly release, Janelle de la Rosa plans to showcase a unique side of her personality and style. “Thinkin’ Bout You” allows listeners to tap into her sensuality and allure. What can they expect in her next release? One thing is certain: Whatever it may be, it won’t disappoint. ###
